I am a preventive cardiologist based in Charlotte, NC, with a passion for empowering patients with the right information at the right time. My approach to cardiology was shaped by a transformative experience during my training at Emory University in Atlanta.
As an intern, I counseled a school teacher in her 40s who was struggling with high blood pressure, diabetes, and personal challenges. To everyone's amazement, she took our lifestyle counseling to heart. A year later, she returned with a collection of half-marathon medals and was completely off her medications. This experience taught me the profound impact of preventive medicine and has driven my career ever since.
